Sunday Praise (290) 3/24/24

Sunday Praise (290) 3/24/24. by me.

We will sing hallelujah
To You, Lord of lords,
Be lifted up, o Jehovah,
By our sincere words.

We exalt You now Jesus,
Your are faithfu and true,
You are always with us,
Loving You we won’t rue.

Forgive us when we dishonor
Your name that we profess,
Yours be all praise and honor,
Wash away our filthiness.

Glory be to You, Lord,
You alone are worthy,
Faithful to Your word,
You are most mighty.

I will worship You, Almighty,
My life is in Your hands,
In You I can be made mighty,
On You my house stands.

Lord, who You really are
Is greater than we realize
And You’re never too far,
Guard us from all the lies.

Our prayers You hear
When upon You we call
You are the most dear,
The one who’s above all.

Whenever troubles come
We call upon You, Jesus,
Our prayers You welcome,
You are always with us.

No, we are not bereft
Of Your presence, Lord.
Us You have not left,
You’re true to Your word.

My prayers You have heard
And answered them all.
Thank You, Good Shepherd,
You hear me when I call.

The universe is Yours,
Your power we can’t conceive,
Mercy like water pours
Upon us, we humbly receive.

To You I lift up my soul,
I give my life to You, God,
Savior, make me whole,
Cleanse me by Your blood.

Teach me to walk
In Your ways that are true.
Teach me to talk
In a way that pleases You.

Whom should I fear?
You, Almighty, Holy One.
I know You are here,
May Your will be done.

You are my life’s foundation
Strength in every hardship,
My Savior, source of salvation,
You I’ll serve and worship.

Your word is more powerful
Than the words of any man,
You’re righteous and faithful,
None can do what You can.

You’re the one who is real
And the one we all need,
You save, restore, and heal,
By Your Holy Spirit lead.

Psalm 94:19 (Thoughts on Verses)

Psalm 94:19 (Thoughts on Verses) by me.
Psalm 94:19 “In the multitude of my thoughts within me Your comforts delight my soul.”
The psalmist mentions a problem & a solution based on experience. You can learn from it so you’ll have a plan of action when a similar thing happens to you.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me”
In the abundance (many in number) of thoughts filling my mind; when too many thoughts fill my head, especially painful thoughts, difficult thoughts that produce divided opinion(s); when I’m divided in mind ’cause of conflicting thought; when I don’t know what to think about this or that.
What am I supposed to do in such times? What’s to be done when many thoughts occupy a large portion of time & focus? What has been the proven solution in the past? What’s the biblical response in such situations? Who can get me through it?

“Your comforts delight my soul.”
God’s comforts (also: compassions, solaces, consolations) delight (also: are well accepted by, please) my soul (also: mind, body, self, person).
God’s the one who can comfort my soul at any time, especially in the toughest times, when thoughts get too loud, when anxiety & mental unrest creep in & take up space, when shame & guilt flood mind & weigh down my heart, when my soul’s cast down because of trials, hardships, losses. God comforts me; He’s the source of that comfort, His compassion is evident.

Fellow Christian, be encouraged. God knows when your thoughts may get overwhelming, when they consume your focus & may even make you wonder when or if the problem of jumbled mess of thoughts will end & a solution will be found. Being reminded of God’s goodness, character, & attributes, can be a great help to lead us to focus on Him who’s been faithful in the past, is faithful in the present, & will be faithful in the future. God won’t change who He is just because your circumstances change; His love for you won’t fail & His mercy will endure. Nothing will separate you from God’s love.

When your mind’s in turmoil, call upon the Lord in prayer & pour out your heart before Him. God is there & He does care. He does hear & He is near. There’s nowhere you can be where you’d be out of His reach, unseen, unheard, unnoticed by Him. He promised He’ll always be with you, He’ll never leave or forsake or forget you.
Child of the Lord, your heavenly Father wants you to have His peace which passes (surpasses, goes beyond, transcends) your limited & incomplete understanding. It’s a true peace that only Christ can give ’cause He’s the source of that peace, He has overcome the world; He’s the one greater than whoever & whatever is in the world that causes problems, painful thoughts.
While you may not strongly feel God’s presence at a certain moment in time, when your thoughts & problems increase, He’s nevertheless present, right there with you, He’s compassionate, He consoles, comforts you, like no one else can.
May your soul be delighted, well pleased to know & believe & accept that as truth your heavenly Father wants you to believe & remember.

“Power in the Blood” (my simple a cappella cover, audio, voice)

Lyrics:

Would you be free from the burden of sin?
There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood;
Would you o’er evil a victory win?
There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r
In the blood of the Lamb;
There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r
In the precious blood of the Lamb.

Would you be free from your passion and pride?
There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood;
Come for a cleansing to Calvary’s tide–
There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

Would you be whiter, yes brighter than snow?
There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood;
Sin-stains are lost in its life-giving flow–
There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

Would you do service for Jesus, your King?
There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood;
Would you live daily His praises to sing?
There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

Difficult to practice…

It’s difficult to really practice what we preach. It’s easy to imitate the ways of the world instead of following the ways of the Lord. The more time we spend finding faults in others, pointing out their sins, the less time we’ll examine ourselves to see where we need to change.

Be Inspired..!!

Listen to your inner self..it has all the answers..
