When beholding Your wonders
The saved pauses and ponders
How many are Your works, God,
How precious is Christ’s blood.

Every good gift from above
Comes from You who’s love.
Many proud and foolish may rage,
You still save sinners in every age.

At Your Cross I want to stand,
There we begin to understand
The price You paid to save sinners;
You have made saints and winners.

That Cross still reminds us
You died for You love, Jesus,
You showed us great mercy,
You’re incomparable, we see.

How good it’s to sing every hour
Of Your wonder-working power,
All sins holy blood washes away,
Your hands lead us on Your way.

Help us acknowledge Your greatness
And give us a glimpse of Your holiness
Be our strong tower and refuge,
We won’t be overtaken by deluge.

We will grow in knowing You
For as long as we live
And tell of great things You do,
All glory to You we give.

O, it is good to come again
Into Your temple, Holy One,
Reminded of greatest gain,
To seek Your will be done.

Our eyes are lifted up to see
Your grace falls down like rain,
Showing us Your great mercy,
You’re with through all the pain.

Had You not been with us
In every trial and storm here,
We would have died, Jesus,
But You’re our Savior, so near.

We’re Yours, we won’t be moved,
Your faithfulness to us all proved
We will not be forgotten, forsaken,
And from Your hand by none taken.

Us from death to life You brought,
Your every lost sheep You sought,
Found us, saved us for Yourself,
Loving You is our eternal wealth.

Surely much too busy are we if we
Your hand at work just do not see,
Redirect our focus back to You,
We will go where You want us to.

Blessed is the one who fears You, God,
Walks in Your ways, gives You all laud,
Has sins washed away Christ’s blood,
Sees Your mercy daily this world flood.

God, break the chains of oppressors,
Change hearts of truth-suppressors,
Shine Your light of truth and open minds,
Over lost souls’ windows’ remove blinds.

May we put our hopes before Your feet,
Bring our dreams and every past defeat.
Teach us to trust You more and more
Consciously dependent, unlike before.

Help us to walk in Your ways
Until the very end of our days.
O, empower us by Your Holy Spirit,
And make us for Your purposes fit.

You’re the only one we most need,
With daily spiritual bread You feed,
You provide, You protect, You lead,
Plant in unsaved hearts truth’s seed.

“Every Sunset is a Painting”

Every sunset is a painting,
Even the good Lord’s work of art,
Faithfully’s to God pointing,
Glimpse of beauty ere day depart.

Every sunset is a goodbye
To a point in time called ‘today;’
Every cloud is a passerby
We won’t see the same someday.

No chance that ’twas chance
Behind creation’s daily dance;
Unthinking to credit randomness,
Suppress truth in unrighteousness.

Tiny drop of universal wonder,
A sliver of revelation’s light,
Observable complexity ponder,
Blind unbelief receives sight.

From this day on to the next
Seek the Giver of living Text,
Past acquaintance to knowing,
In grace and trust daily growing.
