“Spring’s Silent Welcome”

“Spring’s Silent Welcome”

Spring has come but the feeling of it is small,
Maybe our daily routines make celebration fall
Into a passing thought, here today, gone tomorrrow
As we look toward an uncertain future we borrow.

What has come now, the blooming and rebirth after winter
Passes from our wonder, our busyness hurts like a splinter.
We don’t have time to enjoy nature awakening again in beauty;
We are moving with the pace of life that it seems just a pity.

Come now all and find some time today amid the busyness to behold
The beauty found in nature, there’s much about it that can be told
If we would take a moment to appreciate God’s work of creation,
Maybe our gratitude would show for our blood-bought salvation.
