“Before You Are Consumed”

Written by: Victor P.

“Before You Are Consumed”

Before you are consumed
Say how life is unfair.
Before you are consumed
Say your final prayer.

Standing at the dividing line
Between living and dying,
Now say how all isn’t fine,
You have done much lying.

You may say that your worth
Isn’t in the eyes of the earth
But your actions are saying another thing;
You’ve allowed them see you as nothing.

Those eyes have shed bloody tears
When at the brink of death.
Cry out in regret as your end nears
For every wasted breath.

Fear had gripped your essence
When Death was at the door
But nearer was God’s presence
When for life you did implore.

Confess your sins and repent now
For it is not too late, can’t you tell?
Call upon the name of Christ now
He shall save your soul from hell.
